Welcome to The Harbour Library

A Space for Emotional Healing Through Literature

ABOUT
The Harbour Library; there has never been anything quite like it.
We believe that every young person deserves access to a book that understands them, but we also know that not every young person learns, reads or heals in the same way.
That is why The Harbour Library was built differently.
We are a free multilingual bibliotherapy library with hundreds of books organised not by genre or age group but by how you are feeling today, and we serve every kind of learner.

We Serve Every Kind of Learner
📚 Readers — hundreds of books across ten sea themed collections in seven languages. English, French, German, Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish.
🎨 Visual learners — our Visual Tides collection brings healing through graphic novels and illustrated stories for readers who think and feel in pictures.
🎬 Film lovers — our Films from Books collection features free films on YouTube based on books in our library. Watch the story. Then read it. Let it find you twice.
🎧 Audio learners — our audio book collection serves students who learn best through listening, including those with dyslexia, visual impairments or reading difficulties.
✍️ Reflective learners — exclusive to our app, our therapeutic writing and reflection section invites readers to process what they have read through guided journaling prompts designed to deepen healing and self-discovery.
⭐ Performers — our Harbour Stars Reader's Theatre programme invites students to bring stories to life through melodic reflection, monologue and group performance.
🌊 Explorers — our Harbour Voyage virtual field trip combines geography, bibliotherapy and Reader's Theatre into a transformative five day experience for students aged 8 to 14.
Seven languages. Multiple intelligences. One unshakeable conviction.
Any book can heal. Any learner can be reached, and no young person should ever have to sit with their pain alone.
The Harbour Library is completely free.
Finding Your Way Around
You do not need to know a genre or an author to find something here. Start with how you are feeling, and let that lead you to a collection.
Each collection lives under its own tab, so you can browse by mood rather than by category.
If you are not sure where to start, the Library Assistant can ask a few questions and point you toward a collection or a specific book. If you already know what language you would like to read in, our collections span English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, and Russian, so you can head straight to the one that fits.
The Harbour Voyage and The Harbour Stars Programme, are full experiences rather than book lists, so those have their own pages with more detail on how they work.
If you ever feel stuck, the Library Assistant (chat button) is always in the bottom corner, ready to help you find your way.

MISSION
The Harbour Library provides free, multilingual access to books and films organized by emotional need rather than genre or age because we believe every reader deserves a story that speaks to their pain, and that healing can begin on a page.
