Theme: Grief, Loss and Courage
 
We meet Heidi at age 5, raised by her aunt and then brought to her reclusive mountain grandfather. Her sweet, free nature expands in the mountain air until she is taken away to the city, and nearly doesn't make it back. The most heart-wringing scenes arise from a longing for home and belonging
