C.S. Lewis came to faith reluctantly and wrote about it with the clarity and honesty of someone who had argued himself into it rather than inherited it. Mere Christianity does not demand that you already believe. It simply asks you to think carefully and follow the argument wherever it leads. For any young person wrestling with questions of meaning, identity and what they actually believe about the world and themselves, Lewis is the most honest, warm and intellectually serious companion you will find. One of the few books that simultaneously engages the mind and heals the heart.
